If you’re preparing menus for an NTSC or PAL DVD

16:9 Menus (Anamorphic)            
NTSC: 854 X 480                        
PAL: 1024 X 576

4:3 Menus
NTSC: 720 X 540
PAL: 720 X 576

What aspect ratio do you want on your DVD?

4:3 – This will display on a Standard CRT monitor.
16:9 – This will display on a Widescreen monitor like a plasma, DLP or LCD screen.
Anamorphic – This will display in 16:9 on a widescreen or will automatically letterbox when displayed on a 4:3 television.
