Our authoring/video studios are equipped to handle DVD Video, DVD Audio, DVD Audio/Video, DVD-ROM and DualDisc formats.

Authoring
We are a full service authoring facility using Sonic Scenarist for DVD video and Sonic DVD Audio Creator (formerly MEI) for DVD audio. From a simple DVD to a feature rich disc, you can trust Gateway to be able to handle it.

Menu Design
The creative aspects of menu design can be simple (one menu does it all), or complex (multiple motion menus with audio and transition video), it’s all up to you.
We can provide you with everything you need for your DVD menus but if you have designs of you own, we’re happy to turn them into menus for you.

Audio
We can encode stereo and surround audio into any acceptable DVD file format.

PAL / NTSC
We have machines that playback NTSC and PAL.

Video Sources
We can accept High Definition video on Panasonic D5.
Standard Definition video on Sony Digital Betacam, Sony Beta SP, Sony DV-Cam and Mini-DV, Final Cut Pro or Uncompressed QuickTime/AVI forvbmat.

Encode from HD or SD
Gateway Mastering uses the Sony Vizaro encoder. The premier encoder of Hollywood movie titles. We can encode your video directly from HD. We prefer this whenever it’s available as it allows for the conversion to standard definition to happen just prior to the video encoding process yielding superb results especially when longer programs require lower bit rates.

Gateway invests in HD. Gateway just recently purchased a Panasonic D5 HD video machine for the highest quality DVD encodes and for future HD formats like BluRay and HD-DVD.
