We were thrilled to host legendary Jazz producer and record company executive Creed Taylor in June of 2006. Creed was here to brainstorm and put together a CTI film featuring some of the best jazz musicians of this decade.
Dizzy Gillespie, Tito Puente, Airto, Bob Berg, Art Farmer, Robben Ford, Charlie Haden, Anthony Jackson, Jimmy McGriff, Bernard Purdie, Flora Purim, Hilton Ruiz, John Scofield, Marvin Smith, Benny Golson, Randy Brecker, Jon Faddis and more.
Originally shot in high definition D1, it was converted to D5 and sent down to Nick Damiano at Postworks for final HD editing and assembly, then converted to standard definition so we could provide the DVD for promotional purposes.
The DVD is called Tangorine and comprises a session, recorded and mixed in 5.1 and Stereo by Rudy Van Gelder at his studio in Englewood, NJ.
