This week Bruce Springsteen’s "Devils and Dust" DualDisc came in at Number One the Billboard 200 chart and in the UK. Last week’s chart topper was the debut Rob Thomas DualDisc, "Something To Be". According to Billboard, "Devil’s and Dust" sold 222,000 it’s first week. The last record Bob did for Bruce was "The Rising" which opened with 525,000 units and has since sold 2.1 million in the US. In all my career, I don’t believe I have ever had a situation where I mastered the #1 album followed by another artist hitting #1 the following week. The fact that it was both artist’s first week on the charts makes it more amazing. This is really a first.
