Press Release

Portland, Maine (3 May 2001) Bob Ludwig's Gateway Mastering Studios has announced that it is expanding its music mastering operations with the completion of its second mastering studio. The studio will be home to mastering engineer, Adam Ayan, a protégé of founder, Bob Ludwig.

“Adam is one of only two people that I have ever personally trained”, said Bob Ludwig, founder of Gateway Mastering Studios. “Having assisted me on many projects, he knows all my tricks of the trade! “

“Bob’s clients typically schedule many months in advance, “ said Adam Ayan. “The addition of this new mastering studio is a wonderful opportunity for Gateway, and myself, to accommodate new clients. I have had the great opportunity to learn the art of mastering from Bob Ludwig, and now present the music industry with another option for mastering.”

“We’ve got this world class mastering studio in our own backyard “ said Joe Brian of Portland ‘s, Big Sound Recording, ”yet its been difficult for local artists to schedule time at Gateway. The availability of Adam Ayan will give New England musicians a competitive edge without the expense of traveling to New York.”

Adam has been mastering and editing at Gateway Mastering for three years. His projects include; upcoming CD releases for Phish, Aydin Esen, and Jezebelle; singles for Robbie Williams and Eros Ramozotti; upcoming Frank Sinatra DVD-V releases, and the Three Tenors’ Jose Carreras CD & 5.1 DVD-A release.

Editing projects include: Bruce Springsteen, Blue Man Group, Counting Crows, Paula Cole, R.E.M., Beck, Dave Mathews Band, Foo Fighters, Hole, Rancid, Shootyz Groove, and Tracy Chapman

Last year, Adam mastered “Greetings from Area Code 207”, a benefit CD for St. Lawrence Church. The project has been nominated for the Phoenix Best Music Poll 2001, “local album of the year”.
